Roughmoor Lane Development. Village Meeting – Sunday 27th February
/0 Comments/in Uncategorized/by Mick FletcherThis is a reminder that a further meeting to consider proposals for development at Roughmoor Lane will be held in the village hall on Sunday 27th at 6.00 – 7.30 pm. All are welcome. The village hall committee has asked that numbers be restricted to 40 and Covid precautions (masks, hand sanitiser etc.) continue to be followed. However, since numbers at previous meetings have never exceeded 40, we will not be asking people to book a place.
A number of working groups are preparing papers to help inform villagers of the implications of the development so that they may prepare their responses. When the authors agree they are ready, they will be made available on the village website. The first of these, concerned with the implications of development for biodiversity, can be seen here .

appears to be a charging unit for Samsung hearing aids, and is fitted
with a USB socket.

Westbury Shop Manager Vacancy

Penny has played a central part in the success of the Shop since it was founded as a Community Benefit Society back in 2015, and we are looking for a confident, self-motivated person with experience in retail to replace her.
For details of the post, please see the Job Advertisement. The deadline for applications is 15 March. We expect to interview candidates in late March or early April, so that we can appoint a new Manager in time for them to complete any training which may be necessary before taking over responsibility for the Shop.
This is a part-time position, and we believe it may be particularly attractive to people living locally. So please spread the word!

Help needed with traffic survey

Please see the attached poster. Personal contact details have been removed from this version for security reasons but you can sign up in the village shop. Westbury residents should have contact details for Gill and others on the papers distributed through the ‘Eyes and Ears’ network.
