Westbury Parish Council has established a Community Tree Group.  Our aim is to encourage the planting of trees in response to the climate emergency, the loss of diversity in our natural environment and the imminent challenge of ash die back.

We seek to

• To identify places where, with the agreement of the landowner we can plant or support the planting of trees that are appropriate to the local context
• To identify, help publicise and access grants that are available to support local tree planting by individuals and organisations
• To identify and help disseminate information relevant to the selection and  management of trees
• To find ways of engaging  the community in activities that support our objectives
