‘Old Oak’
A reminder of our upcoming Westbury Sub Mendip Friday evening film with a change of film – a very entertaining look at Ken Loach’s critically acclaimed film centred around a mining community in County Durham.
Pub landlord TJ Ballantyne, living in a previously thriving mining community in County Durham, struggles to hold onto his pub and keep it as the one remaining public space where people can meet in the town. Meanwhile, tensions rise when Syrian refugees are placed there, but Ballantyne strikes up a friendship with one of the refugees
Tickets now £8 for Adults and £3 for under 16s – to include your first drink – available from the Westbury Sub Mendip village shop or on the door. Next film will be the rescheduled ‘Oppenheimer’ on Friday, 26th January 2024.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on Friday 17 Nov.
