Parish Clerk

There will be a vacancy for the position of Clerk to the Parish Council, starting 1st July 2018.

The Parish Clerk is responsible for organising all meetings of the Council, publishing agendas and minutes, dealing with correspondence, managing the parish council pages of the Council website, liaising with other organisations, overseeing certain projects, and assisting the chair in public meetings. In addition, as RFO, the Clerk will be responsible for all aspects of financial administration of the Council.
The Clerk works from home and must be computer literate. A laptop and printer is provided. Full training for the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CILCA) will be provided if needed. An allowance is given for fixed expenses and mileage. Attendance at the evening meetings of the Council is a requirement of the position. Meetings normally take place monthly on Wednesdays. Extraordinary meetings are sometimes required.
