Westbury Bell Ringing News

At the beginning of June, two of our ringers went on a tower outing in the Salisbury area, ringing at 6 churches.  It was a pleasant day, finding our way around the different villages, and it is surprising how different towers can be.

As well as the usual ringing for services, we took part in the BBC Music Day celebrations on the 15th June and dedicated the ringing to our former Tower Captain, Bill Derrick.

The Universities Association of Change Ringers will be ringing in our church on the 16th August between 12.15 p.m. and 1.00 p.m,.  It is good to know there are younger campanologists as well!

Finally, the ringers would like to say welcome and  “thank you” to Andy and his team at the Pub for opening again on a Monday evening so we can finish our practice night with a drink or two!!
